In this paper, we present some measures of particle concentration and sizes, carried out in different wards of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital of Rome in the summer 2015. More specifically, we have taken into consideration some operating rooms (Day Surgeries) together with the surgical block and the surrounding areas. In order to evaluate the effects on the indoor contamination, we carried out some experimental tests in the operating room in different simulated conditions of operation and with different particle counters. We relate the results with different events (opening of the doors, switching on of the surgical lamp, movements of nurses and surgeons, etc.); and pay attention to different clothing of the staff.
